Ms. Reno has been at Washburn Rural for several years. She is a graduate of Kansas State University with Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration and Secondary Education, as well as a Masters Degree in Special Education. She teaches Accounting, Keyboarding, Computer Applications, and Advanced Accounting.

 Accounting

Introduces and expands upon the fundamental accounting principles and procedures used in business with an emphasis in computerized accounting. Students considering majoring in business and/or taking a college accounting course, should enroll in this class.

 College Accounting

This year-long course covers all the learning objectives of a traditional college level financial accounting course, plus those from a managerial accounting course. Students learn how businesses plan for and evaluate their operation, financing and investing decisions and how accounting systems gather and provide data to internal and external decisions makers. Students have the option of completing this course for dual credit with Kansas State University upon successful completion of the required exam.

  Keyboarding

This course provides students with an introduction to the keyboard and proper keystroke techniques. Students will develop keyboard proficiency, document production skills, and problem-solving skills.

 Computer Applications

This course provides students with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), with an integration of internet-based applications such as Google Docs.
